Built by a grower,
for growers.
Hydroflow started in a garage, with a notepad full of pH scribbles and a phone full of half-finished apps that all wanted my email address.
When I started growing, the notes in my phone were a maze of feeding schedules, nutrient calculations and half-baked references to photos I apparently took.
When I finally went looking for a proper grow tracker, I figured someone must have already nailed it. There are dozens of apps in the store, surely one of them was going to be the answer.
Instead, they wanted me to sign up for an account before I could even see the home screen. A few asked for my phone number. The “free” ones were stuffed with banner ads that made the UI almost impossible to use. The paid ones charged a monthly subscription for what amounted to a glorified spreadsheet — and then asked for one-star reviews to be deleted before “helping” with support tickets.
None of them seemed to be built by anyone who’d actually grown a plant.
The ones that looked half-decent were missing the things that actually matter day to day. No stage-aware health ranges. No automatic VPD. No way to schedule a reminder that only fires during flower. Just a generic note-taking app with a leaf icon glued to it.
So I built my own. The first version was vibe-coded, the second had it’s own SQL database. Somewhere around version five I realized it was actually better than anything I could find on the Play Store — and my friends pushed me to release it.
What Hydroflow stands for
Hydroflow is a hydroponic grow tracker designed around the way growers actually work: a quick reading at the reservoir, a glance at whether anything’s drifting, a reminder for the next feed, and a clear picture of how the plant is doing across its whole life cycle.
No account. No cloud. No ads. No subscription. Your data lives on your phone — full stop. If you want to back it up, you do it. If you want to switch devices, you do it. If Hydroflow disappeared tomorrow, your grow logs wouldn’t disappear with it.
It’s a one-time purchase because I think paying once for something good is better for everyone than paying forever for something mediocre.
The rules we won’t break
Every feature in Hydroflow gets weighed against these. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t ship.
Your data stays yours
Nothing about your grow is ever uploaded, shared, sold, or analysed. The phone in your hand is the only computer that ever sees it.
No ads, ever
Hydroflow will never sell your attention to anyone. Not for a pop-up. Not for a banner. Not for a “premium” tier that hides them.
Built around real growing
Every screen exists because a grower needed it. No vanity metrics, no padding — if a feature doesn’t earn its place in the daily loop, it gets cut.
Pay once, own it
One purchase, lifetime access. No recurring fees, no “Pro” walls between you and the feature you came here for.
Try it for yourself.
Two minutes to set up your first plant. No sign-up, no email, no card.
